According to 1392 circular, it is required for all vessels which have on-load release mechanisms installed in their lifeboats, not complying with MSC 320(89), to modify or replace for new which fulfil regulations. Time for modification or renewal is determined as first dry dock between 1 July 2014 and 1 July 1019.

Pre-inspection is the process where engineers are measuring the existing hooks in lifeboats to prepare the drawings of new hooks in lifeboats. Then acceptance of Class Society is required.
